Here's your summer lazy day meal plan 🥱

Here's a full day of minimal prep recipes for lazy days

In partnership with

We all have those days when we just don’t want to spend much time cooking. Even if you love cooking and experimenting with new recipes and flavors, there are days when the last thing you want to do is set foot in the kitchen.

When those days hit, sometimes I get takeout. But most times I go for my tried-and-true lazy day meals that have low (or even no) prep.

P.S. Today’s newsletter has a sponsor! I’m very selective with any sponsorships and only share brands I believe in (I actually rejected a brand yesterday because they were making ridiculous health claims!). You can show your support for the newsletter by clicking on sponsorship links, it helps me keep this daily missive up and running. I appreciate you!

DID YOU KNOW? 🧐

On average, a household’s usual meal preparer saves about 30 minutes of meal preparation time a day by purchasing prepared fast food, which is the equivalent of 7.7 days not spent in meal preparation. However, this time savings does not include any travel time to purchase fast food. And time is not the only factor to consider as the cost and the nutritional value of meals prepared at home versus outsourced meals prepared by grocery store deli departments or away-from-home eating places are other considerations, along with the satisfaction that some individuals derive from either food preparation or eating out. Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy. To do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and count the stars. To sit on a branch and study the clouds.
